Hey all! I have some bad news.  Wait for it guys... seriously... this is embarrassing but... I have ABANDONED Northern Lights!! I know this must not come as much of a shock to those of you who actually read the Header thing on these journals (but does anyone?) because I've been reading it for weeks without progressing.  I just found it excrutiatingly boring and I didn't like the protaganist   Sorry to all who recommended it!  I tried my best!  And also, I got my hands on the new Artemis Fowl book and really, who can resist? Right?  It's not my fault at all.

In other news, I've decided to start features.  Be scared... be very scared...

Yes, indeedy.   Today I got post from my college telling me I'm back to classes on the 11th of September.  It's a week later than last year and brings our summer holidays up to something ridiculous like 13 weeks!    I'd prefer if they split it with christmas break because we only get a month off then   but oh well   

My friends and I are renting a house in the estate pretty much next to the college.  There will be 6 of us living in the house (4 girls, 2 guys) and other friends are living in the house next door (read: lots of crazy).  We are also getting broadband internet since we're all going into final year of *ahem* Communications and Creative Multimedia (Yes, it's a hell of a mouthful and is just plain confusing) and we will all need good internet access!

In the interim...  I'm thinking of doing a weekly feature on my journal.  I know that my journal probably isn't exactly exposure central, but I know at least some people read it (yes, I'm talking about you!) and a feature seems like a useful thing to do with my subscription!

Any thoughts?

So, what do we all think of V5?  I like the layout   The bugginess is a little annoying but I'm sure they'll have it sorted out in no time.  It's mostly just little naggy things. Over all

And yes, I did stay up 'til about 4am last night and no DAv5   But it was here all bright and shiny and new when I got up so it's all good

Also, Wheee! I finally created a header and footer. lol.  Very basic, I know. Just really basic Vivaldi script Scarily, it is so long since I have used html regularily that I had to actually have a think about what I was typing   Not such a good sign.   I think I need to make a proper website for myself anyway.  Good practice and, well, I'll need an online portfolio within a year or so anyway so it might be an idea.

Hmmm, well, howdy folks   What time is it?   It's journal time!

I haven't poxted here in a few days and the last entry is sort of out of date, so new one!

My mom loved her birthday present!   Also, now my aunts are insisting they are going to commission me to do them a whole list of portraits etc (We shall see... it's likely just TALK! )  But I was really please she liked it because I did put a fair bit of thought into it

Nextly, for thoose of you that haven't noticed, I've been sucked into the world of photomanipulation!  I never realised you could get such cool effects until I started browsing that section here.   It is a cool genre!

I'm currently working on 4 images, 2 digital drawings, 1 manip and one sort of hybrid thing   One of the drawing type things is a collab with :devsquithead:!  That is if we ever get around to it.  We seem to be a pair of procrastinators.

I think that might just about cover it?  ailestrikezaku and I were talking and we're hoping for a little Devmeet in Dublin next Wednesday 2nd August!   It would be great if any of you could come along.  We're going to meet early in the day and depending on how everyone feels we might go to a cafe, the cinema or maybe a trip to the zoo would be fun? We could take our cameras!   As yet details are subject to change but we're hoping to meet at 12midday at the Tolkien section in Easons, O'Connell Street. (though I will likely be in Dublin earlier than that if anyone else is there earlier too)

Please come!  It's very public, so no worries there and I think it could be a lot of fun!
